The Burning Room – Michael Connelly

My previous book review was also on a Michael Connelly book, but well I love this author so much and read all his books so his most recent book is also on my book list of this year. This books was the very first book I read in 2015.

One of the best Bosch Novels although the previous one “The Black Box” was even better. What I find interesting is that even after this character having been in more than 19 books, this story hasn’t gotten boring. Harry Bosch is still as interesting and intriguing as in Michael Connelly’s first book. I love how old school Harry Bosch is. It’s funny how the book actually makes inside jokes that only addictive Michael Connelly reader will understand.

Harry Bosch is working in the cold case division, he stumbles across a case in which a man dies almost a decade after the crime. It is a action packed thriller with new characters such as Harry’s new partner newbie Detective Lucia Soto. This book is for anyone who loves reading crime and I highly recommend it.

SPOILERS!!!!!

Be careful!!!!

Don’t spoil the surprise!!!

I have been dreading this time since Michael first talked about pulling the plug on Bosch’s career. Although I never really thought about him actually doing it because Bosch is his main character. But the time has come!  This novel keeps you guessing “what will happen to Bosch?!?!”, I can’t wait for the next novel to find out what will happen to this amazing character.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

The Scarecrow – Michael Connelly

I couldn’t be more excited to review what might be one of my all time favorite Michael Connelly books. I don’t be biased because I have read a couple of reviews on Goodreads about this book but those comments still won’t change MY opinion of the book which is that its an

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G book.

Scarecrow is the second Jack McEvoy the first being my all time favorite Michael Connelly novel “The Poet”, which is quite weird because my favorite character is Harry Bosch. ❤️

Quite astonishing that my favorite novel from my favorite author isn’t about my favorite character.

Continuing…..

Jack is getting kicked out of the newspaper due to his age and being replaced by a beautiful young reporter, he agrees to train her inorder to stay an extra week at the newspaper to finish up a story on a murder he just received… The book starts off slow like every other one but eventually it hooks you so much you can’t stop. And Jack reminds me of Michael Connelly sometimes (michael was also a journalist before he started writing books), but I know Michael says that Harry is more like him and puts all his life experiences in that character. Connelly makes his novels real, what’s happening in the world most likely will be included in his novels. I think I enjoy this authors work so much because its so real. I really have no frustrations concering this book… (Well they haven’t made a movie yet hahah)

Overall ratings: 5/5

Have a lovely weekend and a great day!

New Nicholas Sparks Book

Nicholas Sparks just announced that he has a new novel coming out. (YEEAAAAAHH) I am a huge fan and am very anxious to read his new book. I only hope it’s not like the last one – The Best of Me. I didn’t like it, maybe it was just because it didn’t end the way I wanted it too. I actually started reading because of Nicholas Sparks. The Notebook was my first favorite book and after reading it, there was no way to stop me.

I guess could say Nicholas Sparks made me the book junkie I am today and for that I will be forever great full for.

I actually have various favorite Authors, but nowadays I am a huge Michael Connelly fan. I have almost every single book and simply love Harry Bosch.

Most people would say I’m crazy for loving books so much, but I don’t care. Reading a book is like flying, or entering a new world.  Every Book is different every Author writes different. It’s always very interesting to read a classic and then read a NY Times Bestseller from now. The language is different. The styles have changed.

I love reading, do you?

Series eventually come to an end

Today I started reading Michael Connelly’s latest Harry Bosch novel, and I’m sad that Bosch will have to retire in 3 years and 3 months. In book years maybe Connelly will write another 2 or 3 Bosch novels. That concerns me a lot and also makes me sad, because I love Harry Bosch so much, but life has to go on and I am sure that Michael Connelly will create a new character that we will all love as much as Harry. Another author that I love is Iris Johansen, and her novels Eve Duncan novels are my absolute favorites. Eve is another character that I will miss, but Iris Johansen will come up with some other brand new characters that we will hopefully love as much as Eve.

So I can say it’s a sad time for me, but I am excited to start reading about new people and stories. How about you guys do you look forward to the series coming to an end? Will you miss the series?

Peace out.

Book review/ Opinion; The Black Echo

The Black Echo

(Michael Connelly)

Like all the other Harry Bosch novel, this one wasn’t any different it was packed with adventure on every single page and a twisting end. I have read a lot of Harry Bosch novels but I wanted to read this one in particularly because it was the very first one Michael Connelly wrote. When he created Harry, so for me it’s one of the most important ones because here you first meet Harry. What surprised me was that Michael Connelly doesn’t really describe what Harry looks like, I already imagined him because I have read more of his Novels.

But it wasn’t any surprise to me that Michael Connelly put in a twisting end, since I’ve read The Poet I really know what Michael loves to do, give us a surprising ending, But it does always surprise me and when I think I’ve got it all figured out something new comes up. And I don’t know a thing anymore.

These kinds of books are very great to read, if you’re not a big reader I’d recommend you to try to read a Harry Bosch novel, soon enough your change your mind about reading. Some other little thing I would like to add is, why has no big movie producer made a movie about Harry Bosch?

They should it would be a big success.

Thank you for reading and I hope you love The Black Echo as much as I did. Comment if you have anything else to add ..

Peace out…
