Inferno – Dan Brown

Every addicted Dan Brown fan must read. Or should I say it is a must read for every addicted Robert Langdon fan. I loved the book but of course after reading Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, the bar is set outrageously high for this author.

Personally I have read a bunch of reviews on this book particularly but well personally I am every into Dan Browns way of storytelling and the intense research he does on the subject he is writing about. I admire how well he gets the details of artwork, symbols and places he writes about.

Sienna was a character I liked in the beginning but was a bit hesitant to like, and I was right about that in the end. It is a book worth wile reading, but I would reccomend it to people that do enjoy Dan Browns storytelling style and have read at least one of his previous books. As I have read on the internet it might not be the ideal book for everyone but it was entertaining and kept me on my toes waiting for the next exciting event to take place.

I cannot wait till the next Dan Brown book comes out, even though I hope they do not film a movie of this book because I hate all the movies. No offense Tom Hanks! I just envisioned it differently and I don’t think the movies capture the essence of the stories.
Overall ratting: 3,5/5

Have a great weekend!

The Scarecrow – Michael Connelly

I couldn’t be more excited to review what might be one of my all time favorite Michael Connelly books. I don’t be biased because I have read a couple of reviews on Goodreads about this book but those comments still won’t change MY opinion of the book which is that its an

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G book.

Scarecrow is the second Jack McEvoy the first being my all time favorite Michael Connelly novel “The Poet”, which is quite weird because my favorite character is Harry Bosch. ❤️

Quite astonishing that my favorite novel from my favorite author isn’t about my favorite character.

Continuing…..

Jack is getting kicked out of the newspaper due to his age and being replaced by a beautiful young reporter, he agrees to train her inorder to stay an extra week at the newspaper to finish up a story on a murder he just received… The book starts off slow like every other one but eventually it hooks you so much you can’t stop. And Jack reminds me of Michael Connelly sometimes (michael was also a journalist before he started writing books), but I know Michael says that Harry is more like him and puts all his life experiences in that character. Connelly makes his novels real, what’s happening in the world most likely will be included in his novels. I think I enjoy this authors work so much because its so real. I really have no frustrations concering this book… (Well they haven’t made a movie yet hahah)

Overall ratings: 5/5

Have a lovely weekend and a great day!

The Da Vinci Code – Dan Brown

Welcome back everyone, today I’d like to review the first book I ever read from Dan Brown which is his international bestseller “The Da Vinci Code”. I must confess I was very skeptical to read any Dan Brown book because he was mainstream and everyone was reading his books and later watching the movies based upon the books.

Finally this summer I was in a used book store and happen to stumble across a little book called “The Da Vinci Code” which intrigued me. I picked up the book and started reading it the first week of summer. ️I devoured this book like a hungry person devours a plate of food. It was such an amazing book, one of the best I have read in a long time. I became fascinated with symbols, the holy grail, Priory Secret Society, the hidden messages and most of all it made me want to visit the Louvre again.

I recommend this masterpiece to anyone who is interested in action packed thrillers.

My rating for this book is: 5 Stars

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

Turn back now if you don’t want to ruin the surprise!!!

I warned you didn’t I?!!!!

I am not a devoted religious person but this theory that Jesus had a child really made me wonder if maybe it is true ( could be possible). The Da Vinci last supper with the women next to jesus utterly surprised me I had never noticed it was a women. What a mind blowing book! Of course as I always do after reading a book that has a movie adaptation I go watch the movie and compare every detail. Must confess I dreaded the movie, the character Sophie not well cast (my opinion, as I had imagined someone else entirely. At least this wasn’t the worst casting mistake a movie could make…

Yes I’m talking about you Fifty Shades of Grey!

The main character Robert Langdon I thought was very well portrayed by Tom Hanks. Although I have one complaint about him HIS OUTFIT  where is the turtleneck?! He wears a turtleneck.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!

2012 Review…

2012 didn’t turn out like I planned. I was COMPLETELY disorganized and lazy. I’m not saying I did not try hard enough, but it just did not turn out how I had intended it to. School projects got in the way of the two things I love dearly. And no it’s not Chocolate and Ice cream. Writing and reading. The only time I really got some work done was in the Summer holidays, and even then I was not as productive than I had expected to do.

I am not trying to bore you with this post. This is just going to be MY review of MY year. 2012. So how to start telling the story of my completely fun and let us not forget disorganized year.

Once upon a time there was a girl. Who lived in a Castle far away for any human contact…. Naaa just kidding. Gottcha.

My year, started out like any other one. New Years Eve and my New Year’s resolutions. (That by the way MOST of them I never did.) On that page long list there were things such as: Lose weight, Start a diet, eat less chocolate, buy a dog, support a child (through a program. I have already talked about this one.) and there were lots of other shit I wrote there. But I will not go into detail. So the point is that most of the things on my list were pointless.

And the things that did matter to me I did do. I started to support a Child through a program in April. (He’s from Nepal) As you all probably already know, I got a dog. So who cares if I didn’t start a damn Diet.  Eating healthy is hard when there is a bowl of ice cream in front of you. (Not that I have one right now… Or do I?)

In June I went to the NKOTBSB concert in Stuttgart – Germany. I touched Nick Carter 2 times. (Yes, I feel powerful now.)  The concert by the way was simply amazing. I got in line at 9am and stayed there until they opened the doors at 7pm. But it was totally worth it. I met so many awesome fans, made friends, and was in the front row. I could have stopped raining but other than that it was all perfect. I had a blast.

I went  to France and Italy with my class. I did so many things with my class in 2012 I hardly even remember everything we did.  All in all it was a pretty impressive year. And I do hope that 2013 will be even better.

I might even write a New Year’s resolution list. If I do then you might have to wait until next year to know what they were. Maybe I’ll try a diet AGAIN. Never works but I just keep trying. LOL

Thanks for reading and stay safe.

See you
